Cash control for bus lines: every peso in plain sight
Each cashier closes their cash-up, uploads a photo of their deposit and logs expenses with a receipt. From your phone you see how much came in, what is still owed and who owes it.

The problem
Cash slips away in the details
You sell all day across several box offices, but the money shows up later: in envelopes, with loose deposit slips and expenses nobody can prove. Without cash control built for bus lines, balancing the cash-up depends on everyone's good faith and on someone driving to the box office to count.
Cash-ups that don't add up
The cashier reports one figure, your books say another, and nobody knows where the gap comes from or who should cover it.
Short handovers
Cash is missing, and in its place there is an expense with no receipt or an "I gave it to my coworker" that nobody confirmed.
Deposits with no proof
You're told the money was deposited, but the slip never arrives or shows up days later, and you can't tell which day or office it belongs to.
What you can do
All of your line's money in one place
Deposits with a photo of the slip
The cashier snaps the deposit slip with their phone and it's linked to their cash-up. Your collections team checks it against what was owed and approves or rejects it.
Openings and cash-ups per cashier
Every shift opens with its float and closes with its cash-up: cash and card sales, money in, money out, what should be there and the difference. Print it or save it as a PDF.
Expenses with receipts
If you want, no expense is saved without its photo or PDF. One without a receipt stays pending until collections approves it, so anything that lowers a deposit can be checked.
Clear transfers and balances
Cash one cashier hands to another is logged as a transfer, and the person receiving it confirms it. You see what each box office owes and the credit balances still to apply.
Income statement and reports
See how the business is doing by route, month or bus, compared with the previous period: income, expenses, fuel, workshop and cash-ups. Download it as a PDF or a spreadsheet.
How it works
How cash control works in Boleti
Step 1
The cashier opens their cash drawer
The shift starts with an opening float. Every ticket paid in cash or by card goes straight into their drawer, with nothing to enter separately.
Step 2
They close the cash-up and deposit
At the end they count the cash, close the cash-up and upload a photo of the bank slip. Their shift expenses already carry their receipts.
Step 3
Collections reviews and approves
The end-of-day screen shows every box office and every cashier: approve slips, check expenses with photos and verify cash-ups. Whatever doesn't add up stays as a balance to deposit.
Step 4
You see it all from your phone
You know how much came in today, what is still to be deposited and who owes it. The cash-up is closed from your phone, without going to the box office.

Questions about cash and collections
What if a cashier reports less than they sold?
Boleti works out how much should be in the drawer: the opening float, plus cash that came in, minus cash that went out and anything already deposited. If the cashier reports less, the difference shows on their cash-up and the amount they must deposit is based on the higher figure. Under-reporting doesn't erase what they owe, and collections sees it on the end-of-day screen.
Can I require a receipt for every expense a box office logs?
Yes. With the required-photo switch on, every expense a cashier enters carries up to three photos or PDFs in the same record. If there is no receipt, they say so, explain why, and the expense stays pending until collections approves or rejects it. Collections can also reject an expense that was approved automatically because it was under your limit.
Can my cashiers make a single deposit per box office?
Yes, if that's how you work. Turn on the one-deposit-per-office switch and any cashier can upload one slip for the whole office's sales that day. Boleti suggests how to split it across the cash-ups, oldest first, and collections makes the final call when approving. Anything left over stays as a credit to apply on another day.
Who reviews and approves the money?
The Collections role. It sees all of the company's money, approves slips, checks expenses and verifies cash-ups, but it can't sell tickets or change settings. If a cashier typed the wrong amount or logged income as an expense, collections corrects it and the entry is flagged with who changed it and why. Partners and managers can view the end-of-day screen.
What if someone forgets to close their cash drawer?
Overnight, Boleti closes any drawer left open, counts it as holding what it should, and flags it for review. That way the cash-up isn't left hanging, and collections knows to confirm with the cashier how much was actually handed over before signing it off.
I tried Boleti before using it for real. How do I start without test balances?
The company administrator can reset collections to zero from a chosen date. Everything before it is settled as if the system had been used properly from day one: no sale, cash-up or receipt is deleted, and no deposits are made up. To confirm, you type the date, and every reset is saved in a history.
